About the MMCGS
Established in 2014, the Mid-Michigan Classical Guitar Society is an inclusive nonprofit group for guitarists of all levels. Our mission is to enhance our skills and knowledge during monthly meetings and to share our art form through community outreach events. Meetings and performances are free of charge and are open to all.

Trio Ghidorah at Grove Music Festival

Trio Ghidorah will be premiering Tempus Fugit, a piece written for them by composer Terry Herald of Oakland University. A guitar player himself, Terry knows how to write for the instrument and has even included some unique special effects that will make for a memorable performance! The concert also features recent arrangements of music by French composers Mélanie Bonis and Maurice Ravel, a movement from Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas Brasileiras No. 2, and much more!St. John’s Episcopal Church (405 N Saginaw Rd). Tickets are available at the door for $10/adult and $5/student.
